Weather Update: Warning of heavy rain for the next 5 days in these states of the country, know when will you get relief from the heat in your area including Delhi

The mercury is above 45 degrees in the states adjoining Delhi-Rajasthan of West-North India. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no delay in the arrival of the monsoon. There are signs of a good monsoon. It can be estimated from strong winds and clouds. The Meteorological Department said that the monsoon is progressing at a normal pace and it is likely to reach Maharashtra in the next two days. For Delhi-NCR, the department has not yet expressed any estimate. However, very heavy rain has been warned in Arunachal Pradesh on June 10-11 and in Assam and Meghalaya for the next five days.

 

RK Jenamani, senior scientist of the Meteorological Department said that the monsoon had reached the Kerala coast on May 29, and between May 31 and June 7, it covered the south and the central Arabian Sea, parts of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu and the entire northeast. Dismissing reports that the monsoon is slowing down, he said, "There is no delay in the progress of monsoon. It is likely to reach Maharashtra in the next two days and Mumbai in the next two days.

 

The meteorologist said that conditions are favorable for the further advance of the monsoon into Goa and some more parts of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu in the next two days. It is noteworthy that this will be the seventh consecutive year that the country will receive normal rainfall from June to September. When asked whether the monsoon would reach its normal date over Delhi-NCR and other parts of northwest India, Jenamani said it was too early to say anything. Last year, the Meteorological Department had predicted that the monsoon would arrive in Delhi about two weeks before its normal date (June 27), but it reached the capital on July 13, the most delayed in the last 19 years.

 

There will be heavy rain in these states today

 

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain at isolated places is possible over North-Eastern parts of the country, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman and the Nicobar Islands, Coastal Karnataka, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Light to moderate rain is possible over East parts of Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Maharashtra, South Chhattisgarh, and at isolated places over East Gujarat, South Madhya Pradesh, and West Himalayas.

 

Heat waves likely in these states

 

According to Skymet Weather, heat wave conditions at one or two places over East Vidarbha, River and Uttarakhand, Northwest Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, South Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Western parts of Jharkhand and Interior Odisha can become.

 

Delhi-NCR will get relief from heat over the weekend

 

The Meteorological Department said that there will be a decrease in the maximum temperature by a few degrees over the weekend in some areas of Delhi-NCR and North-West India, but there is no possibility of getting any major relief from the heat till June 15. From June 16, the area will get a big relief due to the easterly winds with moisture. "There will be some respite from the heat and cloudy skies on June 11-12 in various parts of north-central India including Delhi-NCR, but there is no chance of rain," Jenamani said. He said that till June 15, the temperature would be in the range of 40 to 43 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in the area due to moist easterly winds from June 16, which will bring much relief from the heat.
