Georgieva said that even if the IMF has slashed India's growth forecast to 0.8 percent for 2022, it will continue to be the fastest-growing economy in the world. Georgieva said that India is playing an important role at the international level.

At the same time, the IMF has reduced the global growth forecast to 3.6 percent, which is much lower than the 6.1 percent in 2021.
