Army Chief said: talks with China continue, situation under control in North East, our soldiers ready to thwart infiltration

Army Chief General MM Naravane held a press conference today amid the ongoing 14th round of military talks between India and China on Wednesday. During his press briefing, Naravane talked about the current situation along the border in the country. He said that the 14th Corps Commander level talks are going on and I hope we will see progress in it in the coming days. Although there has been a partial disengagement, the danger has not diminished. The Army Chief said that since January last year, there has been a positive development on our northern and western borders. On the northern borders, we have continued to maintain the highest level of operational preparedness through dialogue at the same time.

 

 

Terrorists on the Western Front increased: Army Chief

The Army Chief said there has been an increase in the number of terrorists at various launch pads on the Western Front and repeated infiltration attempts across the Line of Control. This once again exposes the nefarious designs of our western neighbor.

The Army Chief further said that the infrastructure development is being done holistically. Roads and bridges are being built. Citizen-ready infrastructure is getting dual use. Regarding China, he said that the threat has not been reduced yet and the level of troops has been increased from our side.

 

We increased the capacity of force, infrastructure, weapons

The Army Chief said that we have increased the capacity of force, infrastructure, weapons in the entire Northern Front including Eastern Ladakh. In the last one and a half years at the Northern Front, our capability has grown in many ways.
