Posted on 13th Apr 2022 04:35 pm by rohit kumar

In the country, from the road to the kitchen, the price of inflation is falling hard on the common people. After a continuous increase in the past, although the price of petrol and diesel has come to a standstill, still the prices of petrol, diesel, CNG all remain at high. Due to this, inflation on food items has increased, so travel has also become expensive. Now you will have to spend more even to go by booking a taxi on rent.

Ola hikes fares

The effect of the increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, and CNG is visible in the companies providing app-based taxi services. Due to this, one after the other companies have announced an increase in their fares. First Uber increased its fare, now Ola has also increased the fare of cab service. Ola has also announced an increase in fares in many cities of the country. For this, the increase in the price of petrol, diesel, and CNG has been attributed. Information about the fare hike has been shared by the company in an e-mail sent to its partner drivers in Hyderabad. An e-mail has been given to increase the fare of mini and prime cab services operating in Hyderabad by up to 16 percent. However, the company is yet to make an official announcement regarding the fare hike.

Uber has increased 12 percent

On the previous day before Ola, Uber, which provides a cab facility through the app, also gave a big blow to the customers by increasing its fare. Significantly, Uber has announced a 12 percent hike in fares in Delhi-NCR. Nitish Bhushan, Head of Central Operations, Uber India and South Asia, said, "We have listened to the feedback of the drivers and understood that they are facing problems due to the recent hike in fuel prices.

Auto-bus fares may increase

Seeing how the app-based taxi service companies have decided to increase the fare, it would not be wrong to say that the fares of autos and buses may also increase in the coming time. The companies that have increased the prices say that in the coming weeks also we will keep a constant watch on the fuel prices and will take our next steps accordingly.
