FIR registered against family members including wife
FIR has been registered against Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha Singhania, brother Anurag Singhania and uncle Sushil Singhania. In the suicide video, Atul accused his wife, her family members, and a judge of harassment, extortion, and corruption.
According to the report of news agency ANI, Atul's brother Vikas Kumar had said, "About 8 months after my brother's wife separated from him, she filed a divorce case and made several allegations against my brother and our entire family under different sections." He further said that all laws in India are in favor of women rather than men and his brother had fought for this issue before giving up his life.
'Demanded Rs 30 lakh to meet son'
In the FIR lodged by Atul's brother, it was told that both of them got married in 2019 and they also have a child. After living together for some time, both decided to separate, after which Rs 3 crore was being demanded by Atul's wife as a settlement. It has also been alleged in the complaint that Atul's wife had demanded Rs 30 lakh from him to meet his four-year-old son.
Atul was originally from Uttar Pradesh and was living in Delphinium Residency in Manjunath Layout, Bengaluru. In the suicide note, he said, "I think it would be better for me to die, because with the money I am earning... I am strengthening my enemy. My earned money is being used to destroy me. If even after so much evidence, all the documents, my statement, my culprits are not punished, then my ashes should be thrown into a gutter outside the court."
