Vistara and IndiGo will also operate their scheduled flights to Dhaka on Wednesday, where the situation remains tense due to the protests.
On Tuesday, Air India operated its evening flight to Dhaka. It had canceled the morning flight to the city.
Sheikh Hasina ruled Bangladesh for 15 years
Bangladesh has seen political developments in the last few days. Sheikh Hasina, who ruled the country for 15 years, resigned as prime minister on Monday following massive protests.
The protest initially started as a movement against the job quota scheme, but after a few weeks, it turned into a mass movement demanding her removal from power.
Flights to Dhaka will be operated
At the same time, sources said that Air India will operate its scheduled two daily flights from Delhi to Dhaka on Wednesday.
He said that the airline may also operate a special flight to bring back people from Dhaka. Sources said Vistara and IndiGo will operate scheduled services to the Bangladesh capital from Wednesday.
As per the schedule, Vistara operates daily flights from Mumbai and three weekly flights from Delhi to Dhaka.
Both Vistara and IndiGo had canceled their Tuesday flights to the Bangladesh capital.
Usually, IndiGo operates one daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai to Dhaka and two daily services from Kolkata to the Bangladesh capital.
Those going to and coming from Dhaka will get the offer
On Tuesday evening, Air India said it will operate its evening flights AI237/238 on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi sector.
In a statement, the airline also said that due to the current situation there, passengers with confirmed bookings on any flight to and from Dhaka between August 4 and 7 are being offered a one-time discount on rescheduling.
This offer will be applicable on tickets booked on or before August 5.
