The government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma has had to admit defeat in front of Nepal's Generation Z (Gen G or Gen Z) protesters. The protesters have ousted them from power. Now the Generation Z protesters have put forward many political and social demands. These demands include rewriting or amending the constitution, comprehensive reforms in governance, and an investigation of the properties looted by politicians in the last three decades.
It was announced during the movement that all those who lost their lives during the protests will be officially given the status of martyrs and their families will be given state honors, respect, and relief. The organizers have also promised special programs to deal with unemployment, curb migration, and remove social injustice.
A statement by the protesters said, 'This movement is not for any party or person, but for the future of the entire generation and the country. Peace is necessary, but it is possible only on the foundation of a new political system.' The group expressed hope that the President and the Nepali Army will positively implement their proposals.
