Bangladesh: Mohammad Yunus said thank you for India's help, told the doctors - You have a very big heart

Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, praised the team of 21 foreign physicians and nurses, including Indian doctors. On Sunday, Mohammad Yunus met the medical team of foreign doctors at the State Guest House and thanked them for their service.

 

What did Mohammad Yunus say?

 

On 21 July, a fighter plane of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed between a school and a college campus in Dhaka. 27 people were killed in this plane crash, and more than 170 were injured. Most of them were students. After the accident, the international medical team reached Dhaka and helped in the treatment of the injured people in the accident. This team of foreign doctors included doctors and nurses from China, Singapore, and India. Mohammad Yunus expressed his gratitude to the doctors while meeting them. He said that 'this team not only came to Bangladesh with their skills but also with their big hearts. Their presence has not only confirmed shared humanity but also revealed the value of global partnership in this time of crisis.'

 

Helped save many lives

This medical team comprised ten members from Singapore, eight from China, and four from India. This team helped a lot in helping the people who were injured due to burns in the accident. Professor Syedur Rahman, health advisor to Mohammad Yunus, said that with the help of this team of experts, many lives were saved. Bangladesh's health advisor, Noor Jahan Begum, also met this team of foreign doctors and praised their work and their help.
