Earlier, Mohammed Shami was included in the list of reserve players of India's T20 World Cup.
The BCCI has informed in a media release that the selection committee has selected Mohammed Shami as the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in India's ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 squad. Shami has reached Australia and will join the team in Brisbane ahead of the warm-up matches. The board has also informed that Mohammad Siraj and Shardul Thakur have been named in the squad as backup, and will travel to Australia soon.
Let us inform you that the Indian team's traveling reserve had batsman Shreyas Iyer, spinner Ravi Bishnoi, fast bowler Deepak Chahar and Mohammed Shami, but the BCCI has not given information on whether Deepak Chahar will still travel with the team or will he.
