New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) Asking students to "become warriors instead of worriers", Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said reports of suicide by students due to examination stress were painful for him.
In his "Mann Ki Baat" radio programme, the prime minister, answering a question, said it is painful to hear that some students commit suicide worrying that they might fail or would not do well in the examination.
"Don't worry but be hopeful as life is very long," he said, encouraging students, who are to take their board examinations next week.
"At times, unwanted results could also encourage you to do well and go ahead in life," he said, adding that ups and downs of life must not affect them much.
