Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with top officials just hours after the killing of a Hindu bank employee in Kashmir on Thursday. These officers included National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Research and Analysis Wing (RA) chief Samant Goel. The security situation in Jammu and Kashmir was discussed in the meeting. The special thing is that this meeting has happened before the high-level meeting to be held on Friday on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
A high-level meeting on Friday also
The meeting, held at Shah's North Block office, lasted for over an hour, official sources said. Details of the meeting were not immediately available. Doval is also likely to be present in the meeting to be held on Friday. Apart from him, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior officials of the Center and Union Territories will participate in the meeting.
In the last meeting, instructions were given to eliminate terrorism
Officials said that the security arrangements for the annual Amarnath Yatra, being held after two years due to the Kovid epidemic, are also expected to be reviewed in the meeting. It is to be known that in the last meeting held in May, Shah had insisted on carrying out a coordinated anti-terror operation.
