Bengal: 'PM Modi should ensure that Sourav Ganguly is allowed to contest the ICC elections', appeals to Mamata Banerjee

TMC and BJP are at loggerheads over the current BCCI President. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has appealed to PM Modi to ensure that former cricketer Sourav Ganguly is allowed to contest the ICC elections.

 

 

Mamta Banerjee said, he is a popular person. The Government of India is requested not to take decisions politically. Make decisions with sportsmanship. He said Sourav Ganguly is not even a member of any political party.

 

 

Sourav Ganguly has also indicated

Speaking at an event on his plans for the post-BCCI president, Ganguly said that he has been an administrator for a long time and now wants to do something else. Ganguly said- I have been an administrator and I will move on to some other work. Whatever you do in life, it is the best day when you play for India. I have been the president of BCCI and I will continue to do great things. You can't be a player forever, you can't be an administrator forever. It was great to do both.
