Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday visited Bhuj Air Force Station in Gujarat. Last week, there was an attempt to target this airbase by the Pakistani Army. However, their nefarious designs were foiled by the Indian Armed Forces. Rajnath's visit came a day after he visited Jammu and Kashmir, reviewing the overall security situation along the Line of Control and the International Border. Earlier, Rajnath Singh said in a post on social media, 'Leaving for Bhuj (Gujarat) from New Delhi. Looking forward to interacting with our brave air warriors at Bhuj Air Force Station.'

Visited Jammu and Kashmir yesterday

Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Jammu and Kashmir on 15 May and took stock of the security situation there. Addressing the soldiers at Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar, he said, 'Prime Minister Narendra Modi has redefined India's policy against terrorism. Now India's policy is that any attack on Indian soil will be considered a war.' He described Operation Sindoor as India's biggest anti-terrorism action till date and said, 'This was not just a defense, but a response taken by taking a bold decision. The terrorists killed our people because of their religion, we punished them for their deeds. This was our religion.'

What is Operation Sindoor?

India carried out precision attacks on terrorist hideouts under Operation Sindoor on May 7. This action was taken in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. After this, Pakistan tried to attack Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10, to which the Indian Army gave a befitting reply. In this retaliation, many military bases of Pakistan were damaged, including air bases, radar sites, and command centers.
