What will change with the new law?
According to the central government, the new bill aims to fulfil the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Under the MNREGA scheme, a guarantee of 100 days of work is provided in rural areas. However, the new bill proposes to increase this guarantee from 100 days to 125 days. It is worth noting that the MNREGA scheme has proven to be a game-changer over the past two decades.
