Taking a big decision on Wednesday, the Defense Ministry banned the import of 351 pieces of defense equipment. These devices include many subsystems and components of defense production. Import of this equipment will not be allowed under the deadline starting December next year. This is the third list released by the Defense Ministry in the last 16 months.

Along with this, the ministry also released another list of 2500 items that have already been indigenised. According to the ministry, with these steps, the country is moving rapidly towards the goal of becoming self-reliant and making new achievements.
