People are seen chanting 'Communist Party step down, down with Xi Jinping' during a protest in Urumqi, the capital of China's Xinjiang region.

More than 40,000 cases of Kovid-19 are being received

Inside Over told that these demonstrations against the Chinese government have now become a cause of trouble for them. Nearly 40,000 COVID-19 cases have been reported in China in the past few days, surpassing the record level in the last 11 months. Due to this, the restrictions were also increased. However, protests against government decisions have also intensified in China's major cities such as Zhengzhou, Urumqi, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Xinjiang, and Chongqing.

Earlier, hundreds of students protested at their alma mater Tsinghua University on Sunday, protesting China's zero-covid policy.
