Several important decisions were taken in the Punjab cabinet meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday morning. Water bills for plots up to 125 yards in cities will be waived even further. Earlier the minimum bill on the rest of the plots was Rs 105 but now it will be Rs 50 for all. The water bill of the village, which was earlier Rs 166 per month, will now be Rs 50 per month. Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni and Cabinet Ministers Manpreet Singh Badal and Vijay Inder Singla were present on the occasion along with the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that the recruitment of D category employees will no longer be outsourced. There will be regular recruitment of all D category employees and the recruitment process will start soon.
