Earlier on April 16, a terrorist plot was foiled to harm the security forces in Rajouri. The security forces conducted a joint operation and recovered the IED Improvised Explosive Device installed on Gurdan Road. It was then taken to a safe place and destroyed. The police had received information about some suspicious activity in Gurdan Chava village on Gurdan Road. After this, a joint search operation was launched in the entire area. During the operation, a suspicious object was found lying on the side of the road, which turned out to be an IED during the investigation. The bomb squad later took him into their possession as per the SOP. It was then destroyed in a safe place. The matter is being investigated.
