Madhya Pradesh: Bird flu confirmed in two districts, alert in the entire state

Himachal: More than 2000 birds killed so far

In Pong Dam Wetland, Himachal Pradesh, the dead birds have crossed the 2000 mark. The first case here was revealed on 28 December 2020. After the confirmation of bird flu, a one-kilometer red zone and a nine-km surveillance zone have been created around Pong Dam here.

 

Rajasthan: 522 birds killed so far

So far 522 birds including 471 crows have died in Rajasthan. On Monday, 140 crows died in six districts. Officials of the Animal Husbandry Department say that low power strain has been found in the deaths due to bird flu in Rajasthan, which is not very fatal.

 

Kerala: order to kill 50 thousand ducks in two districts

Cases of bird flu have been confirmed in the Alappuzha and Kottayam districts of Kerala. It has been ordered to kill 50 thousand ducks here. Minister of State for Forests, Animal Husbandry K.D. Raju said, "Where infection is detected, all birds within a radius of about 1 kilometer will be killed. About 12 thousand ducks have already died from bird flu in the state.

 

Haryana: Over 70 thousand chickens killed in two farms in two days

More than 70 thousand chickens have died in two farms in the Raipurrani area of ​​Barwala in Panchkula. The investigation report of samples of dead chickens taken from the farms has not yet come up. Sources say that a month ago, some poultry farms started getting sick. Then the chickens were sold elsewhere from here. The case was suppressed with the connivance of the administration.

 

Gujarat: 53 birds killed in Junagadh

On January 2, 53 birds including duck-either-heron were found dead in Batwa village of Junagadh district of Gujarat. They are being investigated. Shyamal Tikadar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) of Gujarat, told that there is a possibility of bird flu, hence the alert has been given.

At the High-Security Animal Disease Laboratory, Anand Nagar, Bhopal, a team of five scientists is engaged in testing the samples of birds. Samples of Corona are also being examined here. This is the first time when samples of humans and birds are being tested at the same time in this laboratory.
