The war of words between the BJP and the Congress over the statements of their respective leaders on the Indo-Pak conflict has intensified. Both the parties launched sharp attacks on each other over the comments of their leaders on Operation Sindoor and also posted memes on the internet media.
They also indirectly accused each other of betraying the country. The ruling party called the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Rahul Gandhi a "modern-day Mir Jafar", while the opposition party described External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar as a "new-age Jaichand". It is worth noting that the Congress and Rahul Gandhi had attacked Jaishankar and alleged that he had already warned Pakistan about Operation Sindoor.
What did Amit Malviya post about Rahul Gandhi?
He also asked how many planes India lost and how many terrorists escaped from their camps in Pakistan due to Jaishankar's "warning". Following Rahul's attack, BJP leader Amit Malviya posted a meme on X in which half of Rahul's face was merged with Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir's face with the caption "Same agenda".
Accusing the Congress leader of repeating Pakistan's narrative, Malviya asked in the post, "What's next for Rahul Gandhi? Nishan-e-Pakistan?" The post infuriated Congress, which threatened legal action.
Rahul Gandhi is the new-age Mir Jafar: Amit Malviya.
Malviya, who is the head of the BJP's IT department, wrote on X, "Rahul Gandhi is the new age Mir Jafar." He posted another meme in which Rahul is standing with Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's back and asking the Indian Army from behind the wall, "How many planes did we lose?"
Asif is provoking him to "ask louder". In his post, Malviya said, "It is not surprising that Rahul Gandhi is speaking the language of Pakistan and its sympathizers. He did not congratulate the Prime Minister for Operation Sindoor, which clearly shows India's dominance. Instead, he repeatedly asks 'how many jets did we lose' - a question that has already been answered in the DGMO briefing.
Interestingly, Rahul did not ask even once how many Pakistani jets were shot down when the Indian Army bombed Pakistani air bases during the conflict, or how many aircraft were destroyed in their hangars."
Congress leader Pawan Khera hit back by posting a meme showing Jaishankar calling Pakistan while Prime Minister Modi is standing next to him. Sharing a photo, Khera asked, "Is Jaishankar the new age Jaichand?"
The photo shows the foreign minister saying, "Stay safe, sir", while Modi asks him to "speak louder".
