The police investigating the Nikki murder case in Greater Noida have seized the footage of CCTV cameras inside and outside the house of the accused husband, Vipin. Kasna Kotwali police have said that all the facts of the incident are being investigated. The statements of Nikki's son and other children will be recorded in the case.
According to police officials, Nikki's parents have asked for some time. At the same time, a video of Nikki's son is viral on social media. In which he is talking about setting the fire. CCTV cameras were installed in the house of the accused, Vipin. The police have seized their DVR.
Along with this, the police have also seized the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the nearby shops. The police have also included the time of the video made from Kanchan's mobile in their investigation.
'Nikki was burnt due to a cylinder explosion'
Police investigation has revealed that after the fire, Nikki was admitted to a private hospital in Greater Noida. The hospital told the police that Nikki was burned due to a cylinder explosion. It is alleged that the people of the accused party gave false information in the hospital.
In this regard, the police have recorded the statement of the doctor. The police are claiming that Nikki herself had told the doctors that the fire was caused by the cylinder explosion. However, the police are not officially confirming this.
'If atrocities are happening, do not force for compromise'
Uttar Pradesh Women Commission member Dr. Meenakshi Bharala reached Roopwas village in Dadri on Wednesday to console Nikki's family. There, she said that there was a fight earlier as well. In which a settlement was done by holding a panchayat. With folded hands, she requested that if the daughter is being tortured, then do not force her to compromise. Otherwise, such incidents will keep happening.
State Women's Commission member reached out to meet the family
In Roopwas village, Bharala first met Nikki's mother and sister, Kanchan. She said that the police investigation will be completed soon. An attempt will be made to get a decision in the case from the fast track court as soon as possible. After that, she talked to the father.
He said that in most cases, girls do not want to live where there is more oppression. If the husband beats after drinking alcohol or harasses the children, even then the parents and the people of the society ask the girl to live in her in-laws' house once again.
We have reached the moon, but domestic violence is still increasing
Bharala said that the world has reached the moon. Children are progressing in IT and other fields, but the mental thinking of boys is not changing. Even today, girls are being harassed. The commission receives 250 to 400 cases in a day. The girl comes to register the case under compulsion.
Voice has to be raised against one-sided divorce
He said that one-sided divorce is quite common at this time. Boys sent a summons from the court to the wrong address. If there is no response from them after three summons, then a one-sided divorce order is issued. Many boys are living with girls even after a divorce. When there is a dispute, they are thrown out of the house by showing the divorce papers.
Even the parents don't want their daughter to come back
Former IPS Kiran Bedi has also called the Nikki murder case a brutality and has raised questions and appealed to change the thinking towards daughters. In a video, she said that sons are considered the source of wealth. Daughters are considered to be the ones who take away the wealth.
They are told that their home is there only after marriage. Daughters are considered a burden. The former IPS said that two sisters kept getting beaten up together, but they could not save themselves. She is also earning, but her in-laws had a problem with this, too. Her parents were aware of these things, but they kept fulfilling their hunger. Why didn't they go to the police?
The law is publicised so much. They know that this is the solution, but they don't want a solution. They also don't want the girl to come back to her parents' home. If the daughter-in-law comes to their house, she will ask for the house. They feel that if the girl is at home, the boy will not get married. There is a need to change the thinking.
