Britain's PM Rishi Sunak revealed, said- I have also been a victim of racism

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has revealed that he faced racism but now the country has made remarkable progress in tackling the situation. The British leader of Indian origin made this disclosure during a conversation with reporters on Thursday night, which he did in the backdrop of the issue of racism in Buckingham Palace (the official residence of the British royal family).

 

It is not appropriate to comment on the matter related to the royal palace

Prince William's godmother has been forced to resign after senior royal palace staff repeatedly asked a black British charity worker about her whereabouts. When asked about the whole controversy, Sunak said that it is not appropriate for him to comment on palace matters and pointed to the action taken in the matter. He said that it is not proper for me to comment on the matter related to the royal palace. However, we saw that he accepted what happened and apologized for it. Sunak was born in Britain to parents of Indian origin.

 

I too have experienced racism

When PM Sunak was asked how he felt about the incident involving Ngozi Fulani, founder of the London-based charity Sistah Space, and Lady Suzanne Hase, a close aide of the late Queen Elizabeth II, he said, I have talked before also, I have experienced racism in my life, but I am happy to say that what I experienced in childhood and youth, I believe that now people do not experience because our country has abolished racism. Remarkable progress has been made to deal with it.

Sunak said, 'But the work is not over, and therefore when we see it we oppose it. It is right that we continuously learn lessons and move forward for a better future.

 

The matter of racism came during the banquet

The issue of racism came to the public eye this week after Fulani revealed that Lady Hase pulled her hair to see her name badge during a banquet hosted by Queen Camilla at Mahana. After this, she was asked 'which part of Africa' she came from, after which she told several times that she was British. A Kensington Palace spokesperson, while clarifying the entire episode, told reporters that Prince of Wales William and Princess of Wales Kate believe the remarks are unacceptable and that racism has no place in our society.
