British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's visit to India postponed due to Corona, Delhi was to come on 26 April

The second wave of coronavirus in New Delhi, India has become extremely deadly. Because of this, the visit of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to India is currently postponed. Boris Johnson was scheduled to visit Delhi on 26 April. On behalf of the Ministry of External Affairs, it has been said that because of the situation of Corona, it has been decided by mutual agreement that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom will not come to India next week.

 

A statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs said, "Because of the coronavirus situation in India, it has been decided by mutual agreement that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom will not visit India next week. The two sides will hold a virtual meeting in the coming days to further strengthen India-UK relations.

 

Earlier, the opposition Labor Party also urged Johnson to postpone the Sunday visit to India. The opposition party said that the Indian variant with double mutants has been found in Britain. It is being verified. They should postpone the journey now.
