3. Phone tapping case: Maharashtra government has directed to hand over the alleged phone tapping case related to IPS Rashmi Shukla to the CBI. Shukla is alleged to have tapped the phones of many opposition leaders in the year 2019. At that time she was the head of the State Intelligence Department (SID). A copy of the recording made by Shukla was delivered by Devendra Fadnavis to the Union Home Ministry. 4. Had to take the post of Deputy CM under pressure from the Center: Devendra Fadnavis had said in his first joint press conference after the fall of the Uddhav government that he would not join the cabinet.
