The decision of Mumbai team management to remove Rohit Sharma and make Hardik the captain had angered the fans. Since then, fans have been seen continuously booing Hardik on the field. Even on Thursday, when Hardik came to bat after Rohit was out during Mumbai's innings, the spectators present in the stadium booed loudly. He 'booed' Hardik. After this Kohli signaled the audience to stop it. He asked them to cheer by clapping and pointing towards Hardik.

In such a situation, Hardik also thanked the fans by hitting a six on that ball. He hit a six on his very first ball in the innings. Even before this, Virat has saved the players from the booing of the fans many times. These include Steve Smith and Naveen Ul Haq.

Talking about the match, RCB, batting first, scored 196 runs after losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Captain Faf Duplessis scored 61 runs in 40 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes, and Rajat Patidar scored 50 runs in 26 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. At the same time, Dinesh Karthik scored 53 runs in 23 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets. In reply, Mumbai achieved the target by losing three wickets in 15.3 overs. Ishan Kishan scored 69 runs in 34 balls with the help of seven fours and five sixes, Rohit Sharma scored 38 runs in 24 balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored 52 runs in 19 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. Captain Hardik remained unbeaten on 21 runs in six balls and Tilak Verma remained unbeaten on 16 runs in 10 balls.
