
North Korea on Monday accused the US of violating its airspace with reconnaissance planes and threatened that such planes could be shot down. According to North Korea's state news agency KCNA, a spokesman for the North Korean Defense Ministry said Said that America's provocative military action could lead to a nuclear war in the Korean Peninsula.
The US has escalated tensions on the peninsula by sending a nuclear submarine along with reconnaissance aircraft and drones.
