Meesam is the son of BJP leader Ammar Rizvi. Before joining the BJP in October 2019, Ammar was counted among the top leaders of Congress. Ammar has been the caretaker Chief Minister of UP twice. Rizvi was the leader of the opposition in the UP Legislative Council as well as a minister five times.
