PM Modi, in his departure statement before starting the three-day visit, had said, "The conference will focus on topics such as post-pandemic economic recovery, climate change, innovation and technology, renewable energy, international security issues, and the Indo-Nordic and Arctic." We will also meet leaders of Nordic countries

 

PM Modi said that he will also meet leaders of other Nordic countries on the sidelines of the summit and discuss India's bilateral ties with them. During his visit, PM Modi also met business leaders from Germany and Denmark.

 

Following the summit, the Prime Minister will make a brief stopover in Paris to meet with the newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron. Prime Minister Modi has held bilateral talks with the leadership of Germany and Denmark during his current visit and addressed Indian Diaspora events in both Berlin and Copenhagen.

On Monday, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Berlin for bilateral discussions with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, ahead of participating in the 6th India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations. Prime Minister Modi described the inter-governmental consultations as useful.

As part of his visit, the Indian Prime Minister arrived in Copenhagen on the second day, where he met his Danish counterpart Mette Fredriksen and discussed bilateral issues between the two countries, including cooperation on trade and environmental protection.

 

In Copenhagen, the two leaders also held delegation-level talks to review progress on the Green Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

 

Discussions were also held on a diplomatic solution to the ongoing conflict between PM Modi and his counterpart. The East reiterated India's stand for early cessation of hostilities.

 

According to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, more than 1000 members of the Indian community of students, researchers, professionals, and business persons in Denmark participated in the event.

 

On the second day of his visit, PM Modi attended a dinner hosted by Queen Margaret II at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen, which was the last item on his agenda.
