Budget Session 2024: The budget session of Parliament is starting from today. The budget session will begin with the address of President Draupadi Murmu. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget on February 1 before the Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May.

What is the government's strategy for the budget session?
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the government has no legislative agenda for the budget session and its focus will be on the President's address, discussion on the motion of thanks, presentation of the interim budget, and the budget of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the opposition parties had given suggestions, since this is the last session of the current Lok Sabha, we said that we will give them an opportunity in the next session.
