Canadian Hindus lash out at Khalistani terrorist's threat, write letter to PM Trudeau

Amid deteriorating relations between India and Canada, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has threatened Hindus living in Canada to leave the country. Canadian Hindus have written a letter to the Justin Trudeau government regarding Pannu's threat. In the letter, an appeal has been made to declare Pannu's statements as a hate crime and concern has been expressed over her statements.

 

Canadian Hindu organization 'Hindu Forum Canada' wrote a letter to Minister of Public Safety Dominic Leblanc expressing concern over the statements of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The letter demands PM Justin Trudeau and NDP leader Jagmeet Singh to declare Gurpatwant Singh Pannu's threat as a hate crime.

 

Urge the authorities to take the matter seriously – Forum

The Hindu community of Canada requests your immediate attention to the deep concerns regarding the recent statements of Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the lawyer representing Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the letter said. We urge authorities to take this matter extremely seriously, as it directly impacts the safety and security of Canadian citizens. Our concern has been further heightened by the spread of a disgusting video on social media.

 

'Pannu has expressed the views of Khalistani allies'

It is further written in the letter, Pannu has clearly expressed the views of himself and his Khalistani colleagues, they want to target people who do not agree with their ideology. Such threats have now arisen within Canada and it is important that the Canadian government not underestimate its seriousness. We hope that the Canadian government will take serious action on this. Not only this, it has been said in the letter whether this statement of Pannu will still be taken as freedom of expression.

 

Let us tell you that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, head of Khalistani separatist organization Sikh for Justice (SFJ), has threatened Hindus living in Canada and asked them to return to India. A video of Pannu is going viral on social media, in which he is saying 'Leave Canada Hindus, go to India'.
