Canadian PM Justin Trudeau had talked about India's involvement in the alleged murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The controversy over these allegations by Trudeau on India is not stopping. Taking a dig at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's allegations, Canadian opposition leader Pierre Poilievre has said that he should come clean with all the facts.
"I think the prime minister needs to be forthright with all the facts. We need to know all the possible evidence so Canadians can decide on that," Poilievre said in a media address Tuesday.
Poilievre commented on the matter when the media asked him a question on what else should be done after an Indian diplomat is expelled by Canada.
'The Prime Minister just gave a statement
Poilievre said, "The prime minister has not given any facts. He has made a statement. I would just emphasize that he told me no more privately than he told Canadians publicly. So we Want to know more information."
He further said that if more information was not provided the allegations could be found to be false or unbelievable. Addressing the media, he said that we must have evidence that will help the Prime Minister reach the conclusions that he gave yesterday.
Let us tell you that a day earlier Trudeau had accused the Indian government of shooting dead Hardeep Singh Nijjar. He claimed that his country's national security officials have every reason to believe that "agents of the Government of India" carried out the murder of the Canadian citizen. Hardeep Singh Nijjar was also the president of Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, Surrey.
