CBI vs Didi in Bengal again: Trinamool supporters raging after the arrest of ministers; FIR against Mamta, stone-pelting at CRPF jawans and CBI office

The CBI has once again stepped up the investigation in the Narada case of Bengal. The investigating agency raided several places on Monday. Subsequently, the ministers in the Mamta government began to interrogate Firhad Hakim, Subrata Mukherjee, MLA Madan Mitra, and former Mayor Shovan Chatterjee. All were arrested after questioning. Now they will be presented in court. The CBI will seek the custody of these four leaders from the court.

During this action, once again there was a conflict between the Union Minister and the Government of Bengal. It was only during the interrogation of her ministers that Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached the CBI office. He told the CBI that you arrest me too. Why are TMC leaders being acted on only? Why no action is being taken against Mukul Roy and Shubhendu Adhikari in BJP?

His lawyer also said that ministers and MLAs cannot be arrested without notice. After Mamta went to the CBI office, Trinamool workers also gathered there and threw stones. After this, the police had to use mild force.

There have also been reports of attacks on CRPF personnel, CBI personnel, and BJP workers in many places in Bengal. After this, Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh has lodged an FIR against Mamta Banerjee for the violence spreading in the state. A copy of this has also been sent to Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The governor said - Things are getting worse every minute in Bengal

Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said it was learned through TV channels that Trinamool supporters pelted stones at the CBI office in Kolkata. Despite this, it is shameful to see Kolkata Police and Bengal Police as mute spectators. I want to tell them to work according to the law. Things are getting worse in Bengal every minute. Mamta government should work according to the constitution and take all possible steps to maintain law and order.

Brought to CBI office after raids

Earlier, the CBI team reached Firhad Hakim's house on Monday morning. After a brief search, the CBI started taking them with them. During this, he said that I am being arrested in the Narada scam. After this, CBI also reached the CBI office with Subrata Mukherjee and Madan Mitra.

Apart from this, the house of former BJP leader Sowan Chatterjee was also raided. Sowan left the Trinamool and joined the BJP before the election. However, he also quit the BJP after not getting a ticket in the assembly elections.

Permission was sought from the governor

Recently, the CBI had sought permission from West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to prosecute the four in the Narada Sting case. All of them were ministers when the alleged sting tape was revealed. The CBI was allowed by the Governor shortly after the election.

CBI investigation started after Narada sting

The tapes were released by the Narada News Portal before the assembly election in Bengal in 2016. After this sting operation, it was claimed that the tapes were recorded in 2014. The tape quoted Trinamool ministers, MPs, and MLAs as accusing them of taking cash from dummy companies. This case was reached in the Calcutta High Court. The High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry in 2017.
