The authorities have also arrested two Indian nationals along with the arms. It is being investigated whether the guns recovered from civilians are genuine or not. The National Security Guard (NSG), which is probing the recovered weapons, has said in its report that the guns appear to be completely genuine.
Both the arrested persons have been identified as Jagjit Singh and Jaswinder Kaur, who are husband and wife. The couple returned to India from Vietnam on July 10. The officers caught Jagjit Singh in two trolley bags with the pistol which was given to him by his brother Manjit Singh.
