Chandigarh, Jan 1 (IANS) The charred bodies of four youths from Delhi were Thursday found inside a badly burnt car in Haryana's Jhajjar district, police said.
The four - identified as Manish, Sudhir, Mandeep and Deepak - were from two villages in Najafgarh area of Delhi.
The car, with a Delhi registration, was parked at an isolated spot near Isherheri village near Bahadurgarh town.
Police in Bahadurgarh told IANS that the incident appeared to be that of brutal murder.
Inquiries revealed that they were missing from their homes since Wednesday afternoon.
The bodies were found inside the car by some villagers Thursday morning, police said.
"It looks like a case of gang rivalry in which the four youths were murdered and brought here and burnt in the car. Gangs from Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh could be involved," a police officer said.
Haryana and Delhi Police were locked in a conflict Thursday on who would register the case. Finally, Haryana Police registered a case of murder.
