IPL 2022: David Warner achieved a special achievement against Punjab, the second batsman after Rohit to achieve this feat

In IPL 2022, the Delhi team defeated Punjab Kings by nine wickets in their sixth match. Delhi Capitals opener David Warner scored an unbeaten 60 in this match. He contributed a lot to his team's victory. Chasing a target of 116 runs, Warner combined with Prithvi Shaw for 83 runs for the first wicket. With this, the victory of his team was decided, but Warner returned only after winning Delhi. During this, he also completed 1000 runs against Punjab Kings.

 

 

Warner equaled Rohit Sharma in this match. He is the second batsman who has completed 1000 runs against any one team in IPL. Rohit Sharma has done this feat before him. Rohit has scored more than 1000 runs against Kolkata. Rohit has scored 1018 runs against Kolkata.

Warner's third consecutive fifty

 

After flopping in the first match of this season, Warner has been playing amazing innings continuously. He has played three consecutive half-centuries this season. He is also the batsman with the most fifties in this league. Warner has so far scored 53 fifties in the IPL. In the match against Punjab, he played fine innings of 60 off 30 balls, which included 10 fours and a six. He contributed significantly to his team's victory.

 

In this match, Delhi won the toss and decided to bowl first and the bowlers of the team performed brilliantly. Thanks to a brilliant game of spin bowlers, Delhi allowed Punjab to score just 115 runs. In response, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw made a stormy start and ended the match by adding 83 runs for the first wicket. Apart from Warner, Prithvi Shaw scored 41 and Sarfaraz Khan scored 12 runs to give victory to his team.
