Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the police administration to be on alert because of the incidents of community conflict that have come to the fore in different parts of the country. He has asked to take necessary steps to maintain law and order on May 3 as Akshaya Tritiya and Eid festival are on the same day. Also, in the new controversy that started over reading Ajan and Hanuman Chalisa on the mike, he has bluntly said that religious freedom is for everyone, but the voice of the mike should not go outside the campus.
To maintain law and order in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held an important meeting with senior officers of police administration across the state through video conferencing on Monday. He cautioned the officials that there are many important festivals in the coming days. The month of Ramadan is going on. Eid festival and Akshaya Tritiya are likely to be on the same day. Looking at the current environment, the police will have to be extra sensitive.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that these days controversies are coming up in many places regarding the installation of mike for Ajan and Hanuman Chalisa. Taking this seriously, he made it clear that according to the religious ideology, everyone has the freedom to follow his method of worship. The mic can be used, but it should be ensured that the sound of the mic does not come out of the premises. Other people should not be inconvenienced. At the same time, installation of mike will not be allowed at new places.
Apart from this, there was unrest in many states during the procession on Hanuman Jayanti, and incidents of communal violence were reported. Because of this, CM Yogi Adityanath has said that no procession or religious procession should be taken out without due permission. Before giving permission, take an affidavit from the organizer regarding maintaining peace and harmony. Permission should be given to only those religious processions, which are traditional, new events should not be given unnecessary permission.
CM Yogi has said that every festival should be celebrated with peace and harmony, for this all necessary efforts should be made keeping in view the local needs.
