State-owned CIL on Thursday said it has floated its first tender for the import of 2.416 million tonnes of coal to ensure an adequate supply of fuel to power plants in the country.
It is worth noting that in April, all efforts are being made by the government to stockpile coal to avoid the recurrence of power cuts due to a shortage of fuel.
