Meanwhile, some reports have claimed that the country's largest petroleum marketing company Indian Oil has also procured 3 million barrels of crude oil from Russia at cheaper prices. It is being told that this deal has been done through a trader at a discount of 20 to 25 dollars.
From which countries does India currently import oil?
OPEC is an organization of crude oil-producing countries. It produces 60% of the crude oil sold worldwide. Russia is not a member of OPEC countries, but since 2017 it has been working with OPEC to set oil production limits so that crude oil prices do not increase excessively. If seen, 12% of the world's crude oil is produced in Russia, 12% in Saudi Arabia, and 16-18% in America.
India imports 85% of its crude oil requirement. Of this, 60% is taken from the Gulf countries. At the same time, India is more dependent on Saudi Arabia and America for importing crude oil.
