Congress President: Congress will get a president outside the Gandhi family after 24 years, election notification today

Congress President Poll: After 24 years in the Congress, which is often surrounded by dynastic allegations, again the president other than the Gandhi family is believed to be almost fixed. The party made it clear that Rahul Gandhi will not contest for the post of president. The voting process for the election of Congress President will begin with the issuance of notification on September 22. The nomination for this will be from 24 to 30 September. The election will be held on October 17 and the result will come after two days.

 

Meanwhile, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, a strong contender for the post of President, reached Delhi on Wednesday and met Sonia Gandhi for two hours. Wherever he is needed to strengthen the party, he will not back down, he said. If the people of the party want me, they feel that I am needed for the post of president or the post of CM, then I cannot refuse.

 

Rahul is coming to Delhi to meet Sonia Gandhi on the 23rd rest day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, just a day before the nomination for Congress President begins. During this time his program does not include enrollment. Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, "Rahul will remain in the yatra from 24 to 30 during the nomination. Whereas, Gehlot is set to be the presidential candidate after meeting senior leaders in Delhi.

 

However, Gehlot is still saying that in his talks with Rahul in Kochi, he will make a last effort to hand over the reins of the president to him. On the other hand, Shashi Tharoor met the Chairman of the Central Election Authority Madhusudan Mistry, and inquired about the nominations and the representatives of the states.

 

Now the war on Rajasthan, in whose hands the command, Pilot-Gehlot both reached Kochi

Now the big question is who will be the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Seeing the chair empty, Sachin Pilot intensified the fielding. He reached Kochi only on Tuesday to meet Rahul. Gehlot also reached Kochi on Wednesday via Delhi. The pilot now wants to command Rajasthan. Gehlot is the choice of Gandhi's family. In such a situation, he will not easily agree to make Pilot the CM. When Pilot raised the issue of one person-one post in Congress, Gehlot rejected it. After this, Digvijay Singh had to say that Gehlot will have to leave the post of CM.

Gehlot said after meeting Sonia that time will tell, where will I live. I will stay where the party benefits from my stay. The position doesn't matter. One post, one person rule is only for the nominated post. One can hold two posts by contesting elections.

 

Proposal to make Rahul the president in three more states passed

 

The Telangana, Puducherry, and Punjab units of the Congress on Wednesday passed a resolution requesting Rahul Gandhi to take over as the party president. It is to be known that the State Congress Committee of Congress of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and some other states have already passed a resolution to make Rahul the party president. Telangana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti said that the resolution was passed in a meeting of the representatives of the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chaired by party leader Rajmohan Unnithan.
