This amount is 44% more than all the 12 months of 2021-22. The important thing is that this amount is also 107% more than the pre-Covid level, i.e. 2019.

The second shocking thing in the RBI report is that the money sent for studies abroad has decreased by 50% in just one year. 28% fewer remittances were also sent as compared to the pre-covid level. This does not mean that the number of students going abroad has decreased or the cost of their education has decreased. Rather, most of the students had to return to India due to Corona.

According to experts, there are problems in getting a visa for studies in developed countries. Due to rising inflation and interest rates, the prospects of jobs in developed countries have also decreased from the pre-covid level, hence the interest of students has decreased.
