Morbi Bridge Collapse: High level meeting of PM Modi after meeting the injured of Morbi accident, said- every aspect should be investigated, families should get full help

Morbi Bridge Collapse Meeting: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting in Morbi on Tuesday regarding the Morbi Bridge accident. The situation was reviewed in the wake of the bridge accident. PM Modi also visited the site of the incident in Morbi on Tuesday. Also, he met the injured in Morbi's civil hospital. So far 135 people have died in this accident.

 

The Prime Minister said in the meeting that the officials should keep in touch with the affected families and ensure that they get all possible help in this sad hour. The officials briefed the Prime Minister about the rescue operation and the assistance provided to the affected people.

 

PM Modi said that the need of the hour is to conduct a detailed and comprehensive investigation that will identify all the aspects related to this accident. PM Modi said that the authorities should keep in touch with the affected families and ensure that they get all possible help in this sad hour.

 

In this meeting Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, Minister of Gujarat Government Brijesh Merja, Chief Secretary of Gujarat, State DGP, Local Collector, SP, Inspector General of Police, MLA, and MP, and other officials were present.

 

Earlier, on reaching Morbi, the Prime Minister visited the bridge accident site. He went to the local hospital where he met the injured and inquired about their well-being. He also interacted with the people involved in the rescue and relief work and appreciated their patience. The PM also met the family members of those who lost their lives in this accident.
