Now only one day is left for the nomination of Congress President. The suspense about the presidency is still intact. As Returning Officer Madhusudan Mistry is not in Delhi on 29th September, candidates can apply only on the last day of 30th September.

Here, once again Digvijay Singh's name has been running for the post of President, leaving India Jodo Yatra, and he has reached Delhi. Talking to the media in Kerala, he said that he can nominate for the post of president. Former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor has already announced his candidature for the post of Congress President and will file his nomination on September 30.

In such a situation, the election for the post of Congress President is becoming interesting. Digvijay Singh's entry into the election has made the contest more interesting. But there are still many questions about the election, whose answers are yet to be found. Like will the election now be Shashi Tharoor vs Digvijay Singh? Or any other candidate will also enter the election. It is being told that today Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot can meet Sonia Gandhi. Only then the situation will become clear.

All eyes are on Gehlot and Sonia Gandhi's meeting

According to sources, due to the standoff between Gehlot and the Congress high command in Rajasthan, the leadership has made its alternative plan to field Digvijay Singh as the candidate. Therefore, now all eyes within the party are on the meeting of Gehlot and Sonia Gandhi, which is now likely to take place on Thursday. According to indications, the picture of Digvijay's nomination will be clear after the proposed talks between Gehlot and Sonia Gandhi.

Digvijay suddenly reached Delhi after leaving India Jodo Yatra

In the political corridors of Congress, the internal movements of nomination for the post of President of Digvijay Singh have intensified amid the continuing doubts over Gehlot's candidature. The sudden return of Digvijay Singh, who was present in the India Jodo Yatra in Kerala with Rahul Gandhi, is also being considered a sign of preparation for some new political steps.

So far only two leaders have taken nomination forms for the post of President.

Nominations can be filed for the post of Congress President till September 30. So far, only Shashi Tharoor and treasurer Pawan Kumar Bansal have taken the nomination form from the Central Election Authority of the Congress. Pawan Bansal himself has refused to fill the nomination. It is said that Bansal has taken the nomination form at the behest of the leaders of the high command, in such a situation a new name can come up.
