A large number of people are expected to head to restaurants, bars, and markets from Wednesday evening to celebrate the New Year 2026.  In view of this, the traffic police have made arrangements. Traffic diversions will be implemented if the parking lots of shopping malls and markets become full. Several routes have also been altered considering the expected crowds at Sector-18 and Sector-38A Garden Galleria Mall.

Some entry and exit routes in the Sector-18 market will be changed from the afternoon. The traffic police are prepared to accommodate as many vehicles as possible in the multi-level parking lot. Vehicles can enter the multi-level parking lot from the HDFC Bank cut after coming from Atta Peer Chowk. The stretch from Nursery T-point to Atta Peer Chowk and towards Sector-18 Metro, and the return route from Sector-18 to Atta Peer Chowk, have been declared no-parking zones.

Both cuts leading to Sector 18 before and after the FOB near the Gurudwara will be closed. The road leading to Sector-18 from under the Sector-18 Metro station will also be closed to vehicles. Only vehicles exiting the market will be allowed through this cut. Entry will be closed from the cuts on both sides of the Mosaic Hotel in Sector-18; only exit will be permitted from inside the sector. Vehicles can proceed towards the multi-level parking from the Radisson Hotel intersection. No vehicles will be allowed from Somdutt Tower towards the Sector-18 police post. If necessary, the road from Sector-17/18 Tubewell intersection towards Nursery T-point will also be closed.
