The pace of increasing corona patients in the country does not seem to be stopping. On Monday, 1 lakh 65 thousand 873 new cases of infection have been found. In many states, patients have started doubling in one to two days, but the proportion of patients getting tested is still decreasing. If we look at the trend of the last two weeks, during this period the number of patients in the country increased 28 times, but the testing could not increase even double.
On December 27, 6,270 cases were found in the country and 11.41 lakh tests were done. The daily infection rate was 0.5%. On January 8, 1 lakh 79 thousand 723 cases were found in the country and 15.14 lakh tests were done. The infection rate has also increased to 13.2%. Meanwhile, the Center has said that at present only 5-10% of the infected need hospitalization. The government claims that 20-23% of patients had to be admitted in the second wave.

1.67 lakh new corona infections were found in the country in 24 hours. 69,798 people were cured, while 277 people have died. In this way, an increase of 97,475 was registered in the number of active cases i.e. patients undergoing treatment. At present 8 lakh corona infected is being treated.
