The Finance Minister had told in the interim budget speech presented on February 1 that 1.4 crore youth have been trained in the country under the Skill India Mission. Also, 54 lakh have been upskilled or re-skilled. Mudra Yojana loans worth Rs 43 crore were given to young entrepreneurs under the PM Mudra Yojana. 3000 new ITI have been built in the country. Along with this, seven IITs, 16 IIITs, seven IIMs, 15 AIIMS, and 390 universities have been built in the country. However, opposition parties have always accused the government of ignoring the youth. It was announced to build 30 Skill India International Centers in different states. It was announced that a fund of Rs 9,000 crore would be created under the Credit Guarantee Scheme for the MSME sector.
It was announced that 157 new nursing colleges would be opened along with the 157 medical colleges built in the country till 2014.
What do the youth expect from the government in this year's budget?
The youth, who are facing the brunt of unemployment, also have many expectations from the first budget of the third term of the Modi government. At present, the biggest problem faced by the youth in the country is to ensure livelihood. The youth are constantly appealing to the government to take strong steps in this direction.
