Corona Defeat: OmiSure, the first indigenous kit to test Omicron variant, ICMR approved

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has approved the OmiSure kit to test the new variant of the coronavirus Omicron. The OmiSure kit has been developed by Tata Medical. Let us inform you that TATA MD CHECK RT-PCR Omisure of Tata Medical and Diagnostics Limited was approved by ICMR only on December 30, but its information has come out today on Tuesday.

 

 

How to investigate and report in how much time

The Omisure test kit will work in the same way as other RT-PCR test kits. A swab will also be taken from the nose or mouth for testing with this kit. Then the final report of the test will come in just 10 to 15 minutes as in other RT-PCR tests. The method of testing with Omisure will not be any different from other RT-PCR tests.

 

Earlier, Omicron was being investigated with an American test kit

 

Earlier, the multiplex kit of American company Thermo Fisher was being used in the country to test the infection with the Omicron variant, which was also a bit expensive. Its price is Rs 240.

 

The number of Omicron infected in the country was 1892.

According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of Omicron infected in the country has increased to 1,892. Maharashtra remains in the first place with 568 cases, while Delhi is in second place with 382 patients. Kerala remains in the third position with 185 cases. Out of 1,892 patients on Omicron, 766 have recovered.

 

37,379 new cases of corona in India in the last 24 hours

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, 37,379 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours and 124 people died. During this, 11,007 patients also became healthy. But in the meantime, the number of active patients has increased the concern. Now the number of active patients in the country has increased to 1,71,830 which is worrying.
