The police recently arrested Manorama Khedkar from a lodge in Raigad, where she was hiding under a changed name. Also, the Anti-Corruption Bureau has started an investigation against Pooja Khedkar's father Dilip Khedkar for acquiring assets disproportionate to his income.

However, a Pune court has granted interim bail to Puja Khedkar's father Dilip Khedkar till July 25 in the case of allegedly threatening farmers. However, the court has granted conditional bail to Dilip Khedkar, under which he will not contact any informer or witness and will not try to influence the investigation. The applicant will have to cooperate with the investigating agency. Dilip Khedkar had applied for anticipatory bail on Friday.
