Because of the increasing cases of coronavirus, restrictions in Mumbai have been extended till January 15. Now restrictions on going to public places will also remain in force. The administration said in its order that the restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC in Mumbai have been extended till January 15. Mumbai Police has prohibited citizens from visiting beaches, open fields, promenades, parks or similar public places from 5 pm to 5 am (12 hours).
The order issued by the Mumbai Police Administration said that these restrictions have been imposed in the direction of preventing danger to human life, health, or safety and reducing the spread of Covid-19 virus. Apart from this, 5,368 cases of coronavirus have been registered in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours, which is 37 percent more than the day before. Mumbai also saw a huge jump in corona infections once again with 3,671 cases, which is 46 percent more than the day before.
