Corona in Uttarakhand: Double mutant virus confirmed in Dehradun, samples were sent to Delhi in March

The coronavirus is taking a fatal form in Uttarakhand. The double mutant virus has been confirmed in Dehradun amid the second wave of Corona. It has confirmed UK strains in two samples and other strains in one. These samples were sent for the NCDC Delhi investigation in March. Dr. Deepak Juyal, Co-Investigator of VRDL Lab of Doon Medical College, said that the double mutant virus has been found in the samples sent for genome sequencing. He told that this virus spreads more than the normal virus. Therefore, there is a need to take precautions.

 

One and a half million infected in the state

 

So far, 1 lakh 26 thousand 193 infected patients have arrived in Uttarakhand, out of which 1 lakh two thousand 899 patients have become healthy. So far 1892 patients have died in the state. The recovery rate has reached 81.54 percent due to the reduced number of patients recovering compared to the infected.

 

The corona investigation is not being done in Doon Hospital

 

Corona samples could not be taken even at the Government Doon Medical College Hospital on Monday. Along with this, the samples taken in the laboratory of the medical college were also not tested, then after the two doctors and three lab technicians were found corona positive in the laboratory of the medical college and the collection center of the hospital, both works for 48 hours. Was closed. During this time sanitization was done at both places.
