Corona virus: The first batch of 6.50 lakh rapid testing kits arrived from China to India

The rapid testing kit (RTK) that India had been waiting for the COVID-19 test for a long time has finally reached the country from China. It also includes antibody and RNA extraction kits. From today, they will be sent to different parts of the country. These kits will be used in areas with hotspots, where the infection is spreading at a high speed. India has received 6.5 lakh kits in the first batch. Those will be sent to different states. At the same time, Assam has got 50,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits.

Significantly, five lakh special kits sent from China earlier reached India instead of India. The Chinese company to which India placed the order, had sent the purchased stock to America. The specialty of this Chinese kit is that it tests in just half an hour and it is known whether the person has an infection with corona.

 

The current testing technology used in our country takes three to four hours to test a sample. This kit will be tested in hotspot areas of the country. Also, patients suffering from influenza-like illness will also be tested with this to find out if they are getting corona infection.

 

20 lakh kits will be sent in next 15 days

Indian envoy in Beijing, Vikram Misri, said that more than two million test kits being purchased from China will be sent to India in the next 15 days. After battling the Corona virus for nearly two-and-a-half months, factories in China have resumed operations once again and are facing huge demand for medical goods including ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE) worldwide, including India, as a major business opportunity. Is watching Both private and government companies are placing orders for importing these goods from China.

 

It is reported that China first sent two large consignments of medical kits as part of its effort to increase investigations into the most affected areas during the current lockdown in India. The Egyptian said that the Indian Embassy is working on coordinating the aircraft to facilitate timely delivery of these goods to India and also assist in commercial procurement.

 

Assam gets 50,000 PPE kits
